I should be sleeping. I feel tired, but I'm not ready to sleep. Feels like there's something else I should be doing. I would like to draw more, but I'm not sure what to do and I already have another project I should be working on.

Still, I want to redesign Teka's look. And with that would come Orchid's as well. It's been so long since I paid any attention to my two main characters. The look was originally modeled after Blade, after I had seen the movie. Back then it was really cool and something I hadn't seen before. Then The Matrix came out and everyone and his dog started wearing a trench coat and shades. On one hand it's a shame that a really good look has been so overdone, but on the other, it's a great motivation to make things even better. Just wish I had an idea...

My current project is coloring something I've already drawn. So many people around here make it look so easy while I'm struggling with it. It's a bit frustrating, but I'm looking forward to that moment when I finally get something, I can say that I learned something, and it becomes that much easier for me too. That just happened for digitally inking lineart. Until this drawing I always had trouble with the pen tool in Photoshop, but this time, it didn't take too long before I caught on. It took a while, but now I can't wait to ink more of my lineart.

This last drawing is the first in over a year that I've really been able to draw, and I can proudly say I did my best. For now. There are still things I need to work on, but since it's also a gift for a friend, I'm glad that I can say that at the time, it was the peak of my skill. I just wish my coloring weren't so much worse than my drawing.

Another thing I would really like to do is get back to my writing. If I could do anything with my life, I would like to publish my story which features such characters like Teka, Orchid, Rydax, and Vashaar. Just wish I knew where to start...

I'm not sure this journal entry has much of a point. If nothing else, I guess it helped to organize my thoughts. And it's a bit of an update on things related to this page, for anyone who might happen to care. I hope I can show you guys more of what I've been talking about pretty soon. For now, signing off.
